Elementary‘s season 3, episode 12 is sure to be a turning point for not only the season, but the series as well. Find out what to expect on tonight’s episode!

The entire third season of Elementary has built up to tonight’s episode. From Kitty Winter’s arrival in episode one, a slow trickle of information about her past is all viewers have been privy to. Tonight’s episode will change that. Set to go back to Sherlock and Kitty’s first meeting in London, “The One That Got Away” will not only offer answers about Kitty, but will provide some insight to Sherlock’s time away as well.

Previously on ‘Elementary’

Kitty’s captor made his presence known in New York. After convincing Sherlock and Joan that she was capable of handling her share of the case work, Kitty’s darker side stepped into the light. When a hesitant accomplice was not forthcoming with information, Kitty brought about a change of heart with the help of her baton.

When their man hunt ended with the recovery of the charred body of their primary suspect, Kitty unhappily reports that the corpse did not belong to her captor. Sherlock tries to offer his unfailing support to reexamine the case, but it is Joan’s boss who provides the missing link.

Tonight on ‘Elementary’

Watson and Sherlock discover that Del Gruner of Leda has some unsavory extracurricular activities on his resumé. When Kitty escaped from his clutches, Gruner became determined to tie up loose ends before Kitty and her detective friends linked his name to the crimes. Tonight’s episode will spend time with Kitty and Sherlock in London eight months prior to the present hunt. Expect to see a few more similarities between Sherlock and Kitty than a keen eye for missing persons.
