Hollywood has lost another star, as character actor Eddie Rouse passes away. He was 60 years old.

Eddie Rouse was a very versatile actor, best known for his roles in American Gangster, The Number 23, I’m Still Here and Pandorum. He was hailed as a great actor, who always gave everything he had to his roles.

He died Sunday of liver failure, at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The actor had just wrapped up filming a key part for HBO’s upcoming Westworld series.

Westworld is a remake of the 1973 sci-fi thriller, which takes place at a theme park filled with robots that come to life.

It stars Anthony Hopkins, alongside Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Miranda Otto, and many more.

Rouse was meant to play Kissy (short for Kisecawchuck), an American-Indian card dealer. Presumably he’ll still be a part of the pilot, but it is unknown whether the producers will choose to recast the role, or write around it.

The late actor also recently acted in Rat Pack Rat, a Kickstarter-funded indie short which was honoured at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

He’s got another movie currently in post-production, titled Gutter Slut, in which he plays a detective.

Eddie Rouse leaves behind a son and a daughter.
