Dylan O’Brien and others will attend Wondercon to promote and support the new Maze Runner film franchise.

20th Century Fox has announced in their Wondercon press release that Dylan O’Brien, James Dasher (writer), and Wes Ball (director) will be attending press events to represent The Maze Runner at the convention.

We reported earlier that The Maze Runner franchise would be attending Wondercon this year in some sort of fashion. After patiently waiting for more details to surface, we now know who to expect at the event.

The specifics of what might be discussed or shown at the April 19, 12:45 pm movie panel are still unknown. However, this does give us a clearer idea of who should be in attendance.

This will be the first public event held for the Maze Runner since the official trailer was released about a month ago.

Besides the obvious question-and-answer style panel interaction, we can’t help but wonder if attendees will get some special treats at the Saturday event. Perhaps an extended trailer? Or an exclusive clip from the movie?

It’s all speculation as of now, but for die hard Maze Runner fans you can’t help but wish for new material to be released as soon as possible.

Bonus ‘Maze Runner’ Goodies

Along with this exciting Wondercon news, we also have a new Maze Runner promotional card to share with you.

Like many of the other images we have been receiving from the Maze Runner camp, this weeks photo features Thomas with text from the original book splayed over top. Cowering in the corner of The Box, this should be one of the first images we see after film opens.

Lastly, we also got an animated GIF pulled from the movie itself. What is most interesting about the GIF is that water seems to be pouring out from the sides of the maze. A new feature that seems to be added during the book to movie adaptation.

What would you like to see come from the ‘Maze Runner’ movie panel at Wondercon?
