Dylan Bruce, who made a splash last year on BBC American’s Orphan Black, is now slated to join the cast of Arrow.

The first thing that fans may wonder is how Dylan Bruce is going to manage to be in two series at once. Fortunately, they both shoot in his native Canada, and the schedules aren’t as alike as you might think.

With Orphan Black not airing again until spring 2014, and with a run of 13 episodes or less, Bruce should be able to do both shows even if his character takes off and becomes a fan favorite.

According to TV-Line, “The actor will appear in the first and third episodes of Season 2 as Laurel’s new co-worker Adam Donner, a corn-fed, All-American lawyer who is described as smart and charismatic.”

When we last left the Arrow cast, things were in a literal state of turmoil with two major characters presumed dead and half the town quite literately blown up. As the season opens, Laurel will have to deal with the extra baggage of Tommy having given up his life to save hers as she tries to move on with Oliver. So, will Dylan Bruce play a rival for her affections with Oliver? It remains to be seen.

Orphan Black fans won’t have to worry about Paul going anywhere, as his plot line is still very much in development on that show. During Comic-Con interviews, Bruce mentioned how conflicted his character is on the show, and while he’d like Paul to be on the good side, there’s still a very real chance that he may be against our clones.

And now thanks to his new casting, you’ll be able to see Bruce on your TV a lot sooner than expected. Arrow returns October 9, while Orphan Black won’t be returning until April of 2014.
