Last night Duck Dynasty stars Willie Robertson and his wife Korie appeared on the Fox News special All-American New Year. They revealed that they are ready to move on from the controversy surrounding their family.

It seems that the Robertson family is hoping that they start the new year fresh. When asked about how he felt about the controversy surrounding his family the past few weeks Willie responded that they are ready to start over.

“We’re just glad to get back to work, A&E and us are fine,” Willie said. “We are looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows and it’s a new year, so we are ready to break in a new year and start it all over again.”

The Duck Dynasty star also says that the family has already filmed a couple of episodes from the new season which premieres Jan 15 on A&E. Instead of focusing on Phil’s nine day suspension the family is looking to move forward with their show.

Willie did add that they have learned from the controversy after Phil’s comments. “We’re ready to move on. I think we all learned a lot, and we’re just ready to move on, and the family’s happy and ready to go.”

Korie Robertson echoed her husband’s feelings and hopes the family can focus on their country and religion, “At the end of day, we sit down and thank God for our blessings, and we’re gonna continue to do that and hopefully we can spread that message. And I think, as a country, if we can come back to that a little bit, we’ll have a great 2014.”

A few days prior to the interview, Willie used his Twitter account to describe his father Phil Robertson as “crude” but “the real deal” with a good heart.
