With The Dragon Prince season 2 on the horizon, we have a few burning questions that we’re hoping get answered in the upcoming episodes.
The Dragon Prince did an incredible job of setting up a whole world and lore in its first season, as well as characters we immediately fell in love with — or love to hate. It did such an incredible job, in fact, that we have just a feeeeeew questions that we would love to see answered when the show returns to our screens in February.
With the titular dragon prince now hatched — and we’re still not over how gosh darn cute Zym is — as well as Viren’s supposedly nefarious plans in motion, and the trio close to crossing the border into elven lands, there’s a whole lot of adventure still to be had, and many, many, many unknowns hovering over our heroes, anti-heroes, and villains heads.
So, without further ado, here are 77 questions that we have for The Dragon Prince season 2, and beyond.
- Is King Harrow really dead?
- Was his spirit swapped with the bird?
- If Harrow is in the bird, can his soul be recovered? Or will it need to be transplanted to another body?
- If it can be transplanted — and Viren is willing to do that — who would he sacrifice?
- Was there more to Viren and Harrow’s conversation than we saw?
- Why is Viren’s face all magical and weird now?
- Is there a point of no return for Viren’s appearance? Have we hit it?
- What will Viren do when he finds out that Zym’s egg has hatched?
- What is UP with that dragon mirror?
- Is the dragon mirror a portal? A prison?
- If the dragon mirror is a prison: who is terrifying enough that Runaan would be scared?
- Why does Viren need to kill butterflies to revive himself?
- Is Runaan alive inside the coin? Can he get out?
- Who else does Viren have imprisoned in coins?
- How will Amaya react when she learns of Viren’s plan?
- Will Viren’s plans ever catch up with him and have any serious consequences?
- Could there end up being a coup? Viren doesn’t seem to be popular with the people, and with Harrow gone…
- Will the ultimate war end up being between the human kingdoms?
- Is Gren ever going to be allowed to sit down?
- How about a hug? A cup of tea? Some love? (Please, someone save Gren.)
- What happened to Queen Sarai? Will we learn more about her life and marriage to Harrow?
- What kind of a Queen was Sarai? The statue, flowers and candles suggest she was beloved by many.
- How about Sarai’s relationship with Amaya? They seemed very, very close.
- For that matter, what happened to Claudia and Soren’s mother? Is she still around?
- If she is still around, will we ever meet her? Could she throw a wrench into Viren’s plans?
- How fast will Claudia and Soren be able to reach the Cursed Caldera? Will Callum and co. still be there when they do?
- How will they react to learning that the egg has hatched?
- Will Soren ever tell Claudia of his true mission?
- Will Soren actually try to go through with killing Callum and Ezran?
- If he does, or comes close, how will Claudia and the others react to the betrayal?
- Could that fracture Claudia and Soren’s relationship beyond repair?
- Will Claudia tell Soren that Viren values the egg over his son’s life?
- Could Claudia ever trade Soren’s life for the egg?
- If she does, will that push her even further into dark magic?
- If not, what will Viren do if — or when — they return empty handed?
- Dang, how dark is this going to get?
- With Callum’s obvious feelings for Claudia, will those continue to develop? Or will Claudia use them to her advantage?
- Will Rayla tell Callum and Ezran that their father is apparently dead? How will they react?
- Will we learn more about Harrow and Callum’s relationship? It felt distant, though neither appeared to want it to be?
- Were they closer while Sarai was alive? Did her death affect that relationship?
- Will Callum get his letter from Harrow back and will he read it?
- What will Ezran do with his newfound responsibilities as king if (or when) he finds out Harrow is dead?
- Is Ezran the only young royal in charge of a kingdom? This is wartime, after all.

- Will we find out more about Rayla and Runaan’s relationship?
- What will Rayla do when she finds out what happened to Runaan?
- Will Rayla’s “human” impression make a reappearance?
- Will the kids actually make it to the Dragon Queen now that Zym has hatched?
- What do baby dragons eat, anyway?
- Will Ezran’s ability to talk to animals continue to develop?
- With Ezran’s focus being on Zym, will Bait feel abandoned?
- Can Callum still do magic now that he has destroyed the Primal Stone?
- If he can’t do magic, what will his “role” be? Will he feel at a loss?
- Will Callum find a magical teacher? Will he learn more than two spells?
- Will Callum ever try to do Dark Magic?
- How could Dark Magic affect Callum compared to Claudia and Viren?
- If Callum does use Dark Magic, will it hurt his relationship with Rayla?
- Why do the runes on the toy glow around magic, and does it have anything to do with the mirror?
- Will Ellis and Eva continue on the journey with the main trio?
- What about Ellis’ parents? Will they send out a search party?
- Speaking of search parties: where is Corvus? Will he catch up with the group before Claudia and Soren?
- Is it possible that Corvus will team up with the Trio and co.?
- If Corvus doesn’t team up with the Trio, will he try and return the princes to the kingdom? Or will he take them to Amaya at the Breach?
- What will the next “book” be called?
- Will we see more Sunfire elves and their weapons?

- What’s happening at the Breach? Is there real danger, or is Viren hyping it up?
