NBC has expanded the cast of Dracula, adding Thomas Kretschmann and Oliver Jackson-Cohen as series regulars.

It looks like Dracula is keeping the ball rolling by adding even more stars as series regulars. According to Variety Thomas Kretschmann has been cast as the legendary vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing. Helsing is described as a brilliant professor and, who despite being cool on the outside, is actually dangerous. It seems like Dracula won’t be the only one looking for revenge as Helsing is also obsessed with revenge and power. Oliver Jackson-Cohen has been cast as Jonathan Harker who is a journalist desperate to climb the aristocracy ladder.

It’s becoming quite clear that the series will be a web of scandal, secrets, and danger as Dracula poses as an American entrepreneur while trying to seek revenge. There won’t be a shortage of romance either as Dracula meets Mina Murray (played by Jessica De Guow) who he instantly recognizes as his reincarnated dead wife. Unfortunately for the pair she is already engaged to Jonathan Harker. To add complication Dracula will be chased by Lady Jayne (played by Victoria Smurfit) who finds herself drawn to him.

Kretchmann and Jackson-Cohen join stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jessica De Gouw, Katie McGrath, Nonso Anozie and Victoria Smurfit.
