After last week’s heartbreaking drama, Downton Abbey fans are drying their eyes and wondering how the Crawleys will cope with the devastating loss of Sybil. Will Bates’ permanently-deteriorating relationship with his nefarious roommate (or his own temper) ruin his chances for freedom? If it weren’t for Anna, would anyone still care? And will poor, grieving Tom be forced to battle his Lord Father-in-Law for the right to have his own daughter baptized as Catholic? (And who else wants to give Robert a slap across his self-righteous lordly visage?)

Once your fervor has cooled, check out this clip from episode five, which gives viewers a glimpse at how the Crawleys are coping after last week’s devastating events.

Oh dear… between Robert and Mr. Travis, it’s hard to say whose teeth we want to shake right out of their heads first! Though we must note – Elizabeth McGovern might just be doing her finest work on Downton Abbey right here; Cora’s fragility is heartbreakingly believable.

PBS’ official summary says of the episode:

Things go badly amiss at Downton Abbey. Robert and Cora are not speaking. The servants are shunning Matthew’s mother Isobel. And Matthew and Robert have fallen out. Also, Bates takes a gamble.

Episode 3×05 of Downton Abbey will air this Sunday at 9 p.m. on PBS.
