Olivia Wilde is continuing to round out her cast for the upcoming psychological thriller, Don’t Worry Darling.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actresses Gemma Chan and Kiki Layne are the latest stars to join the cast of Don’t Worry Darling.

The forthcoming psychological thriller from New Line is the latest directorial venture for actress Olivia Wilde, who previously brought us Booksmart.

The film is set in the 1950s in the California desert, and centers on an isolated, utopian community. Other than a bare bones general premise, however, plot details for Don’t Worry Darling are being kept firmly under wraps, which also means that there’s also not much to go off of when it comes to who Chan and Layne are set to portray in the film.

Interestingly, however, Kiki Layne is said to be coming on board to replace previously announced cast member, Dakota Johnson, who has since had to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Johnson isn’t the first original cast member who’s had to leave due to scheduling issues. Just last month, we learned that Harry Styles has also come on board to co-star in the thriller as a replacement for Shia LaBeouf, who also recently had to bow out due to scheduling.

Gemma Chan (Crazy Rich Asians) and Kiki Layne (If Beale Street Could Talk) join a star-studded cast that, apart from Styles, also includes Florence Pugh (Little Women), Chris Pine (Wonder Woman 1984), and Wilde, who in addition to directing, will also be featured in a supporting role.

Production on Don’t Worry Darlingis slated to begin later on this month out in Palm Springs and in Los Angeles, though currently there’s no word on when we can expect the film to hit theaters.
