Donald Trump ended years of “will he won’t he” speculation on Tuesday by announcing he’s running for President of the United States.

Trump will be running as a Republican candidate, joining 11 others who are currently vying to become the 45th President of the United States. The difference between Trump and the others is that the real estate mogul is arguably the most out-of-left-field contender the race has seen.

As for the future of his television presence, NBC said that the future of its popular reality show The Celebrity Apprentice will be evaluated as Trump’s campaign goes on. “We will re-evaluate Trump’s role as host of Celebrity Apprentice should it become necessary, as we are committed to this franchise,” NBC said in a statement to CNN after Trump’s announcement.

Though they played coy, it’s hard to imagine NBC’s series not involving Trump. As host of the reality show since its inception in 2004, The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice has been carried by Trumps’ no-nonsense personality.

The Associated Press reports that Trump will be visiting New Hampshire tomorrow to start woo-ing potential voters.
