Everything about Star Wars: The Force Awakens is being kept under wraps, but at least Domhnall Gleeson can share what a blast he had shooting the film!

We’re now officially in the year of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will hit cinemas on December 18, 2015.

Last year’s teaser trailer gave us a much-anticipated first look at the new trilogy, and it’s only left us wanting more… but of course J.J. Abrams and his team want to keep their cast and crew from spilling the movie’s secrets!

“You have to sign so many things,” Domhnall Gleeson (who plays a yet unnamed character) tells Radio Times. “I would say it’s the most secrecy I’ve had to work with.” And this guy’s been in Harry Potter.

He goes on to talk a bit about his experience on set, echoing what other actors – including Mark Hamill and Oscar Isaac – have already indicated: the team has a great deal of affection for the original trilogy, which will hopefully be apparent in the new movie.

“Once I got to set, the way J.J. [Abrams] was working and the love, the genuine love for Star Wars that was everywhere on set — it made me want to protect [the] secrets,” Gleeson says.

The actor adds that he trusts the team with the new reboot, claiming, “it’s not one of those moneymaking schemes, though I’m sure it will make money. The love for those movies, what those movies meant to them, to everybody on that film – you could really feel it.”

Gleeson says that he’s “really proud” of The Force Awakens, adding, “I hope it’s good! We’re in trouble if it’s not…”

We hope it’s good, too!
