The 2021 MTV VMAs have officially found their host in Doja Cat.

Doja Cat has dominated the charts and coming up next, she’s gearing up to give hosting a try.

On Wednesday (August 25), MTV officially announced that singer Doja Cat would officially be the host of of this year’s 2021 MTV VMAs.

The three-time Grammy Award nominee took to her Instagram to spread the exciting news with fans far and wide.

“I’m hosting the 2021 VMAs this year. Wowowowowowow,” wrote the “Say so” singer in the caption of the announcement post.

News of her new hosting gig comes on the heels of yesterday’s news that the Grammy nominee is also set to be one of the night’s slew of performers.

Other recording superstars who will be taking to the stage at the 2021 MTV VMAs include Shawn Mendes, Twenty One Pilots, Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly, and Olivia Rodrigo.

In addition, she’s also up for a total of five awards of her own on the big night, having scored nods in the coveted Video of the Year and Artist of the Year categories.

Leading the nominations this year is Justin Bieber with a whopping seven nods. Meanwhile, Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion scooped up a total of six nominations, while artists Billie Eilish, BTS, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo both scored five a piece.

Voting for the 14 gender-neutral categories is open now through September 3.

The 2021 MTV VMAs is set air live from the Barclays Center in New York City on Sunday, September 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
