The Sunday Express reports that the dog who played Padfoot in the Prisoner of Azkaban film is in need of a home. We had to share this because it’s too touching of a story!

From FOX NY:

A dog that once starred in a Harry Potter film was in need of new owners Sunday after being left homeless and forgotten at an English dog rescue center.

Berry, the German Shepherd who found fame as Padfoot, the animal form of Gary Oldman’s character Sirius Black in “Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban” was given to the German Shepherd Dog Rescue charity after his stuntman owner Paul Thompson could no longer care for him.

Thompson told the Sunday Express, “I found myself spending a lot of time away from home. The dogs needed more attention than I could give. It was a difficult decision to make but one I had to accept was best for the dogs.”

Touching! We hope someone swoops in to adopt him soon.
