If you haven’t had the ability to go to Cardiff to meet the Doctor and his companion as they film series 8, you might be able to see them in their world tour this fall!

Slated to begin this August, Doctor Who stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna-Louise Coleman will be touring the world along with executive producer Steven Moffat. This tour is the largest promotional undertaking Doctor Who has taken in its 50 years on television.

The team will begin the tour on August 7 in Cardiff and make their way through their route ending in Rio de Janeiro on August 19.

The BBC has released a teaser video promoting their campaign, which tells you each city they’ll be visiting on this world tour:

In case you’re unable to view the video, the cities listed on the tour’s official website are:

Cardiff, UK
London, UK
Seoul, South Korea
Sydney, Australia
New York, United States
Mexico City, Mexico
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Although Capaldi and Coleman are planned to do the entire tour, Moffat will not be making all of the stops due to his production commitments.

Since Doctor Who has already been announced to begin airing series 8 this August, we’re hoping these commitments are Sherlock related. The cities he will attend will be announced soon, along with the full itinerary for the tour.

The Doctor Who World Tour is a great opportunity for fans all over the world who are unable to go to events like Comic-Con or watch the production team over in Cardiff. Although it’s limited to seven cities, we’re sure this tour will be a success.
