Earlier today, we told you that Mark Gatiss would be penning a 2013 Doctor Who episode set in a Yorkshire village. As filming on the episode commences, plenty of plot details have been revealed! This post contains spoilers.

Twitter user Ryan Farrell was present at the shoot in Cardiff for the currently untitled episode, which appears to have a Victorian theme. The scene was big in scale, with huge blue screens, horses and carriages and many extras. Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman were both present as The Doctor and his new companion, the former sporting a bowler hat and the latter donning a period dress and bonnet. They were joined by guest stars Brendan Patricks as Edmund, and Dame Diana Rigg – as well as Catrin Stewart (the actress who played Jenny in “A Good Man Goes To War,” suggesting the characters’ return).

The name of the Yorkshire village is said to be “Sweetville,” clearly labelled by a sign on the top of an iron gate. What’s more, Sweetville is said to contain a factory and at one point The Doctor was overheard saying “There is something very odd about that factory – nobody who goes in seems to come back out. And there’s never any smoke.” Looks like we’re in for a spooky Victorian mystery!

Check out the photos that Ryan captured below.
