BBC One and BBC America announced Friday afternoon that Doctor Who series 8 will premiere this August.

To mark the occasion, the first Doctor Who series 8 teaser trailer was released which appears to offer a glimpse of the new Doctor Peter Capaldi in the TARDIS:

Sadly, no specific date for the series 8 premiere was shared, so you can’t clear your schedule just yet (unless you want to take off all of August).

Doctor Who is currently filming. Series 8 is the first run for Capaldi, who’s taking over for Matt Smith as the Doctor.
