Filming for episode four of the upcoming Doctor Who series started this week, and some pictures from yesterday’s shoot have revealed the return of one of The Doctor’s long-running associates. Reports also reveal the episode title! This post contains spoilers.

The scene at first seemed to be relatively simple – The Doctor, Amy and Rory outside a regular house on a regular street. However, as the day went on, several soldiers emerged wearing the UNIT uniform! The Unified Intelligence Taskforce has featured in the series from very early on in the show’s history, but the organisation has been notably absent since the Eleventh Doctor took over the TARDIS. There were initially concerns that the religious cleric-soldiers featured in “The Time of The Angels/Flesh and Stone” and “A Good Man Goes to War” had filled the military-shaped void, but new pictures confirm that UNIT will continue to be a part of the show.

Reports from the location also suggest that the episode, written by Chris Chibnall, is entitled “Cubed.” It is also Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill’s final block of filming for series 7. When shooting for “Cubed” wraps, the two will leave the show after a three-year tenure. However, it wont be the last episode aired – that was filmed in New York several weeks ago.
