The TARDIS has seen various aliens, humans, and unique creatures aboard over the years on Doctor Who. It’s a good thing that it’s “bigger on the inside” if the latest rumor proves to be true. [POTENTIAL SPOILERS]

According to the Daily Star, the latest threat aboard the TARDIS will be dinosaurs. Yes, you read that correctly: dinosaurs. Whereas dinosaurs haven’t yet been seen in the revival Doctor Who era, they were featured in the classic Doctor Who era. In the episode Invasion of the Dinosaurs, the third Doctor, the Brigadier, and Sarah Jane Smith had to deal with dinosaurs rampaging through London. See clip below.

According to the Daily Star, the episode is meant as a homage to the Samuel L. Jackson tongue-in-cheek venture Snakes on a Plane. The Doctor, Amy and Rory are unaware that the TARDIS has been breached by “bunch of prehistoric monsters including a T-Rex, stegosaurus, raptor and pterodactyl.” The Star’s source stated, “When we said we had a monster series lined up, we meant it. This will be a whopper of an episode.” Perhaps they’ll be recycling the pterodactyl CGI from Torchwood.

It should be noted that the Daily Star has something of a New York Post reliability level, so this information may or may not pan out to be true. On the other hand, it does tend to match up with this previous rumor regarding a title being a tremendous spoiler, not to mention the the hints that it will be CGI heavy with action that “fans to get their teeth into”.

Regardless of whether the rumor proves to be true, do you like the idea of dinosaurs in a new episode?
