Hold your breath, Whovians! After an excruciating five-month wait, Doctor Who returns to screens tonight for a brand new mini-episode!

Sure, it’s likely to last less than five minutes, and there will still be an approximate four-month wait until the series 7 première, but that means we’re over halfway through the gap between series! The Olympic-themed mini-episode entitled “Good as Gold” will air on Blue Peter (a children’s magazine programme) at 5.45 p.m. GMT on the CBBC Channel in Britain this evening. No international broadcast dates or times have been released, but we’ll have a copy for you as soon as the video makes its way online!

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan will star in the mini-episode, the result of the BBC’s Script to Screen competition which invited school children to submit a short screenplay.

Are you excited for some new Doctor Who goodness?
