Earlier this week, the BBC and Disney announced that Doctor Who would start airing on the Disney channel. This got us thinking: The Doctor could solve some of their characters’ chief concerns.

According to the BBC, “Doctor Who will premiere on Disney XD beginning May 9. Disney…has picked up seasons two through four of the global sci-fi hit. The landmark series depicts the adventures of the Doctor (played by David Tennant), a Time Lord who travels through space and time in his TARDIS combatting various enemies to save civilizations around the universe.”

We never really thought that we’d be writing “Doctor Who” and “Disney” in the same sentence, but this collaboration could be great for both franchises. The 10th Doctor is back on our screens, and his willingness to pitch in and help in any situation could really benefit Disney characters. Below are just a few fun ways we think the Doctor could really improve the lives of some Disney characters.

The Doctor meets Belle

Who doesn’t love a library? The Doctor, other than that nasty little turn with the vashta nerada, is certainly pro library and learning. We’re betting he and Belle would make a great team. We’re sure that the Doctor could sonic up something to help Belle out reaching those books on the higher shelves.

The Doctor meets Buzz Lightyear

One zap with the sonic, and “to infinity and beyond” is no longer wishful thinking. Then again, given the Doctor’s experience at the end of time, Buzz might want to stop just shy of the end.

The Doctor meets Cinderella and Prince Charming

Tired of losing shoes and potential brides? One zap of the sonic and you’ve got a pair you can track. Think of it like Lojack, or Find my iPhone for shoes.

The Doctor meets Eeyore

The only person grumpier and more pessimistic than the current Doctor may be Eeyore. Let’s face it, getting either of them to consider the glass half-full or to look on the bright side isn’t likely to happen, but hey, at least we get get his dang tail to stay on.

The Doctor meets Captain Jack

The rum will no longer be gone…’nuff said.

The Doctor meets Sleeping Beauty

You think the Time War was bad, let’s talk the pink vs. blue war. Aurora can now turn it whatever color she wants at will, no twitchy fairies to deal with.

Do you have any more problems for The Doctor to solve?
