Doctor Who once again had fans on the edge of their seats in Hall H. Fans, including Hypable staff, lined the streets as early as 1:00 am last night just to get a seat.

So far, we have relatively little information about what to expect for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special. Information has been limited to what was able to be seen being filmed out in the open in public view. We’ll share any info revealed in our live blog below:

The 50th Anniversary cast includes the eleventh Doctor and companion Rose Tyler, played by David Tennant and Billie Piper. Other cast members include Jemma Redgrave who plays Kate Stewart the head of U.N.I.T.

We also have relatively little information about the upcoming docudrama, An Adventure in Time and Space. Mark Gatiss wrote and directed the special. David Bradley plays William Hartnell, the first Doctor. Other cast includes Jessica Rain as Verity Lambert, the series inaugural producer and as Warris Hussein, the series’ first director.

The 50th Anniversary Special will be aired not only on TV, but it will also be in theaters in limited release in 3D. So far there is no final count on the number of minutes that the special will run, but Steven Moffat has stated that it will be well over an hour. The special will air on November 23, 2013, which is the exact date that the initial series aired in 1963.
