The first official photo of Matt Smith and newly appointed companion Jenna-Louise Coleman on set has been revealed! Could The Doctor be having a permanent costume change?
The photo was released via the official Doctor Who website, and shows the actors on location with the TARDIS in the background. Matt Smith also teased the next series, saying “It [filming on the new series] is going well. Jenna brings a really different energy to the show – one which I think is very interesting.”

We could draw your attention to the companion’s bag, or the rings on her fingers – but we are currently focused on the Doctor’s change in costume! Not only is it a much darker outfit in general, but it also seems he wears waistcoats now. Waistcoats are cool.
