After the airing of Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary last night the BBC gave us a bittersweet surprise: A teaser trailer for Matt Smith’s last Christmas Special.

Check out this ten second teaser of the Christmas Special below, featuring a bunch of monsters we’re both excited and dreading to see again.

In this short clip we hear Matt Smith ask someone, “This planet, what’s it called?” The voice of a woman then responds “Trenzalore.” During these short few seconds we see the appearance of Daleks, Cybermen, the Silence as well as the Weeping Angels. It looks like Steven Moffat has put on a show that is going to frighten everyone, and sadden the entire world as the world says goodbye to the Eleventh Doctor.

We’ve known ever since the sixth series finale “The Wedding of River Song” when Dorium Maldovar’s head told Eleven, “On the fields of Trenzalore, at the fall of the eleventh, when no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer, a Question will be asked, a question that must never, ever be answered.”

We’d all thought that this problem was solved when the Doctor faced Trenzalore in the seventh series finale and had sucessfully not answered the question “Doctor Who?” but it looks like he’ll be back on Trenzalore to face his doom. With Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels and the Silence, we can definitely see how Eleven will fall on the fields of Trenzalore. But we don’t want him to go!

Well, Matt Smith. We just have one GIF for you:
