Fresh off the heels of its worldwide premiere earlier this evening, the BBC has released three new stills from Doctor Who series 7 opener “Asylum of the Daleks.”

The three images are hardly groundbreaking, but it’s always great to see new material (especially when we’ve been so long without a new episode). As well as the standard “TARDIS materializing in front of the Ponds’ house” shot, we also see The Doctor and Amy standing over something suspicious (probably a Dalek eye-stalk), and the Time Lord looking moody in some of the corridors that featured so prominently in the recent trailer.

“Asylum of the Daleks” will premiere on BBC One (in the UK) Sept. 1. No international broadcast dates have yet been confirmed.

What do you think of the new images? How do you think “Asylum” will compare to previous Dalek stories?
