After the twists and turns of Doctor Who series 7’s premiere last week, things got a bit less serious for episode 2’s prehistoric romp. “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship” just finished airing – discuss and rate it with your fellow fans! Episode spoilers in comments.

“Dinosaurs on a Spaceship” saw The Doctor assemble a rag-tag team of adventurers in Egyptian Queen Nefertiti and game hunter Riddell (played by Sherlock‘s Rupert Graves) to investigate a mysterious cargo hurtling towards Earth. When he picks up the Ponds, he’s surprised to find Rory’s father Brian (played by Harry Potter actor Mark Williams) on board the TARDIS. Before they know it, the lamest Avengers team comes face-to-face with the last of the dinosaurs, hilarious robots – voiced, British viewers will notice, by comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb – and the sinister Solomon (Harry Potter‘s Filch actor David Bradley).

Dinosaurs made their first Doctor Who appearance in nearly 40 years tonight, last seen in 1974’s “Invasion of the Dinosaurs” opposite Jon Pertwee’s Third Doctor. While the special effects were certainly a noticeable improvement in this evening’s episode, we want to hear your thoughts on the creatures, characters and plot of “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship”!
