The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special may have just gotten a little more crowded. Did one of the classic Doctors let something slip?

Earlier this week when speaking with Daybreak, a British morning show, the fifth Doctor Peter Davison had some interesting things to say concerning the 50th Anniversary special. He was quoted saying: “I’ve heard lots of rumours, none of which I’m allowed to tell you anything about. I’m privy to them actually.” He went on to say: “I have got a copy of the script which has got my name embossed across it. So it’s top secret, but there’s other stuff, lots of other things that are going on that people should keep their eye open for around the 50th anniversary special!”

But perhaps the most interesting bit of information came when Davison said this while speaking with BANG showbiz: “I’m making an appearance somewhere over that period of time but I can’t reveal in what…I can’t reveal anything specific about it. I’m not allowed to…It is a big year for the show and we’re all doing our bit for it. Trust me.”

Could this point toward Peter Davison reprising his role as the fifth Doctor in this November’s 50th Anniversary special? Realistically, Davison will probably just be part of one of the numerous shows the BBC has planned to celebrate this Doctor Who milestone. However the question remains: If none of the Classic Doctors are going to be in “The Day of the Doctor,” as we have previously been told, why would Davison have a personalized copy of the script?
