The final trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained has been released as the edit for the film is completed in advance of the first screenings next week.

With the sound mix of the film having just been completed yesterday, Django Unchained is looking at a 2 hour and 45 minute runtime; it was previously sitting at over 3 hours. Academy and critics circles screenings start next week, but in the meantime we have a final trailer for the film to tide us over until the Christmas day release.

The film remains the only film apart from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to still not have been seen by critics, so the trailers still remain the only way to judge the film; they are still very important. There had been rumors brewing of trouble with the film, although it seems these problems have (hopefully) been worked out as the running time has been cut down.

Django Unchained tells the already controversial tale of a slave-turned-bounty hunter who sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner, with the help of a mentor. Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Don Johnson, and more star. The film is set for a Christmas day opening.
