We learned last month that Divergent would indeed film in Chicago, the same city which Veronica Roth’s story is set in.

Today we’re hearing more about Summit-Lionsgate’s plans for the shoot.

Divergent will begin filming in April for sixty days, according to Reel Chicago. The budget is reportedly $40 million.

With a start date in about three months, casting has to be completed over the next two-ish months. So far the only person who’s been announced is Shailene Woodley who will play lead character Tris. Yesterday we learned that three actors had recently auditioned for the lead male role of Four: Lucas Till, Jeremy Irvine and Alex Pettyfer.

Divergent hits theaters March 21, 2014. The book has had strong sales over the past year. The story follows Tris, who lives in a future Chicago that is separated in five factions in order to stabilize society. At age 16, each citizen must choose a permanent faction. However, for Tris, things don’t go as planned, and she has to survive an aggressive and physically demanding initiation. Beatrice Prior must uncover her true hidden strengths and risk her family, her newfound love, and her very own life to defuse a mysterious conspiracy which could change the balance of power forever.
