Fans of Teen Wolf were shocked earlier this month when lead star Colton Haynes announced he was leaving MTV’s hit show. Then this week the actor followed Divergent author Veronica Roth on Twitter and teased upcoming good news – could he be joining the Divergent movie cast?

The actor had tweeted the following “great news” suggesting he had been cast in something:

The news of Haynes’ leaving Teen Wolf had “shocked” even the show’s executive producer who added he was “confused.” If we were to make guesses, this opportunity for Haynes arose and had a tight shooting scheduled which conflicted with Teen Wolf.

While still not confirmed, the puzzle pieces are interesting. Last week actor Alexander Ludwig tweeted that he had had a meeting to play Four, who we suspect Haynes is currently up for.

The Divergent book follows Tris, who lives in a future Chicago that is separated in five factions in order to stabilize society. At age 16 each citizen must choose a permanent faction. For Tris things don’t go as planned and she has to survive an aggressive and physically demanding initiation. Beatrice Prior must uncover her true hidden strengths and risk her family, her newfound love, and her very own life to defuse a mysterious conspiracy which could change the balance of power forever. The character of Four is Tris’ love interest who she meets in the Dauntless faction.

Divergent hits theaters March 21, 2014. Would Haynes be a good choice for the role of Four?
