USA Today has a new feature on the book-to-film adaptation of Divergent, which includes our first look at Ansel Elgort in his role as Caleb.

Caleb is the brother of Tris, who is played by Shailene Woodley. The photo is particularly special because the two actors will play Gus and Hazel in the book-to-film adaptation of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, which will begin shooting at the end of August.

The photo can be seen below. A high-res version will arrive in the next couple of days, the studio tells us.

Woodley and Elgort have previously confirmed that their chemistry on the set of Divergent helped propel the latter actor into the co-starring role for Fault.

USA Today’s set report takes us to Chicago on the day they are filming the selection sequence in which Tris decides to join Dauntless.

“There’s a lot going through Tris’ head. This is a definitive decision,” explains Woodley about the scene. “She doesn’t think her home is ever going to be reopened after this. So she’s understandably extremely emotional.”

The actress also spoke about her decision to take on a film that could potentially turn into a monstrous series. “It was a huge decision,” she said. “At first, I was not planning to take this opportunity, because it felt overwhelming. If there is success and if it happens in a way that was anything similar to Hunger Games or Twilight, that’s extremely intimidating. Especially for a very homely nature chic like me.”

The report notes that the faction selection scene was shot in Chicago’s Seventeenth Church of Christ, which should make for a beautiful backdrop.

Divergent opens in theaters March 21, 2014. The Fault in Our Stars does not have a release date.
