According to a fact sheet, the revamped app boasts the following features that you can only find on the iPad:

– All-Access Movie Premiere Pass – Walk the “black” carpet with Divergent’s cast and crew, as 360-degree cameras allow fans to rub virtual elbows with Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet and more at the film’s Los Angeles premiere.

Those of you looking forward to the remaining three films should definitely download the app. The studio says that it will be the source for first looks at Insurgent, Allegiant, Part 1, and Allegiant, Part 2 in the coming years.

You can download it for free now through iTunes.

Lionsgate also confirmed today that Xfinity customers who purchase the movie on Digital HD today will have access to “over 250 minutes of additional content, including super-sized versions of the app’s free features.”

Divergent is now available on Digital HD and arrives on DVD/Blu-ray August 5.

To promote the film’s home entertainment release, Shailene Woodley and Theo James will be at San Diego Comic-Con this week to sign autographs.
