Over the past few days several Divergent character posters were released and feature supporting stars proudly showing their tattoos.
Each poster depicts one character under a dim light wielding their Dauntless edge.

The tattoos on each Dauntless member is an important part of who each character is. In author Veronica Roth’s words, “Most Dauntless get tattoos as a reminder of the past, a mark of progress. There’s also the relationship to pain (a true Dauntless doesn’t mind the pain!), but mostly tattoos are a sign of overcoming obstacles, for them, a way of marking struggle and progress on the body.”

The movie arrives in theaters March 20, 2014. Reads the film’s synopsis, “In a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.”
