Last monday we learned that Divergent’s book three will be released this October. Now Amazon has begun to accept pre-orders.

In addition, a very small tease – which refreshes you on where things stand at the end of Insurgent – was made available:

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?
The explosive conclusion to Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy reveals the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

According to Amazon, the final book in Veronica Roth’s trilogy is 384 pages long. That makes it the shortest of the three (books one and two were around 500 pages each). We’re going to check with the publisher to make sure this number is accurate and will update you when we have an answer. It is priced at $13.59.

UPDATE: Harper-Collins confirms to Hypable that the page count is currently 544 pages long (Amazon, you were way off!) but this number could change as Roth continues to work on the story. If it stays around this number, it will be the longest book in the trilogy.

“Divergent book three” will be released October 22, 2013. Check out the teaser cover art, which suggests the cover will have an orange theme!

Divergent, the first book in the trilogy, is in the process of being turned into a film which begins shooting this April. Shailene Woodley is the only confirmed star. Kate Winslet is said to be close to nabbing a role. Summit has given it a March 2014 premiere date.
