Summit sent the media an e-mail today noting that all three books in Veronica Roth’s Divergent trilogy are at the top of the USA Today Best-Selling Books list.

Divergent is number one, Insurgent is number two, and Allegiant is number three. At number four is Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief and in fifth is John Grisham’s Sycamore Row.

Roth’s publicist Casey McIntyre said on Twitter Thursday afternoon that only six other authors have had their series of books all atop the list at once.

Breaking down the stats a little further: For every ten copies of Divergent sold this week, 6.8 copies of Insurgent sold and 6.5 copies of Allegiant sold.

These numbers show that sales and interest are still very strong as we approach the theatrical release of the first movie on March 21, 2014.

In USA Today’s report about Divergent they say over 10 million copies of the series have been sold as of January 1. Also in the pipeline: The Divergent movie tie-in paperback on February 11, the Divergent Official Illustrated Movie Companion by Kate Egan on March 4, and Four: A Divergent Collection on July 8.

Allegiant was the final book in the trilogy to hit store shelves this past October, and readers were shocked by a twist at the end. There was so much feedback about the ending that Roth decided to write an explanation on her blog.

Earlier this week we shared two new stills from Divergent. Hypable hit the set of the highly-anticipated dystopian film last year and will have a report up in the coming months, before it opens in theaters.
