A pair of new posters for the third movie in the Divergent series, Allegiant Part 1, have been released online.
Fans unlocked the posters as part of a social media campaign on Tuesday morning. The two new previews each depict Tris and Four, but each poster shows one side of a worrisome hug:
These’ll surely drive Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) fans crazy. What are they afraid of? Stepping outside Chicago’s tall walls? New enemies that lie ahead? Potential Divergent spinoffs?
“After the earth-shattering revelations of Insurgent, Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago,” the film’s synopsis reads. “For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.”
Allegiant Part 1 opens in theaters this March. Speaking of the Divergent series, Summit/Lionsgate announced earlier this week that the fourth film in the franchise — Ascendent (formerly known as Allegiant, Part 2) — will hit theaters June 9, 2017. It was previously scheduled for March 2017.
