In a perfect casting alert, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner will play Timon and Pumbaa in The Lion King.
That’s right, the hilarious Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner have been cast to play the amazing duo of Timon and Pumbaa. According to The Wrap Rogen will be voicing the lovable/gassy warthog Pumbaa and Eichner will be voicing the often anxious meerkat Timon.
After hearing this casting, I could not be more excited for the movie. Can you just imagine these two singing “Hakuna Matata?” #Excited
James Earl Jones is returning to voice Mufasa, while Donald Glover will be voicing the adult Simba. There are also rumors that Beyoncé may join the cast.
Jon Favreau is set to direct the film which does not yet have a release date. The film is said to be a “reimagining” of the classic much like the other live action films Disney has been releasing.
