Ewan McGregor is reportedly in talks to star in Disney’s upcoming project Christopher Robin.
Another day another story about Disney live action movies, Christopher Robin (yes from the Winnie the Pooh stories) is circling Ewan McGregor to star in the film according to THR.
There’s not much information about the film yet but it’s said to focus on the adult Christopher Robin who has “lost his sense of imagination” and is now focused on being a successful businessman.
The script for the film has already been worked on by three separate writers. Alex Ross Perry wrote the original screenplay which was then turned over to Tom McCarthy. Now the Oscar-nominated screenwriter Allison Schroeder is taking it over.
It’s not clear whether Winnie the Pooh and his friends will have anything to do with the movie or not. I can’t imagine how they will draw in an audience without that element. For now it’s a project to keep an eye on an see how it develops.
