Disney+’s upcoming series centered on Vision and Scarlet Witch officially has a writer and showrunner!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney and Marvel Studios have tapped Jac Schaeffer to pen the pilot and serve as executive producer on a new series called The Vision and Scarlet Witch.

Schaeffer is no stranger to the world of Marvel adaptations.

In addition to serving as one of the writers on the highly anticipated Captain Marvel movie, she’s also penned the script for the long-awaited Black Widow solo film.

Joining her on the project are actors Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen, both of whom are expected to reprise their big screen roles in the new Marvel series.

The Vision and Scarlet Witch is slated to premiere exclusively on Disney’s highly anticipated streaming service, Disney+, which is due to launch sometime this year.

There’s no word yet on where the series will pick things up for the pair, but hopefully now that Schaeffer is attached to spearhead the project we’ll hear more details with regards to what we can expect.

The Vision and Scarlet Witch isn’t the only new Marvel entity set to debut on Disney+.

As we’ve reported on in the past, Disney+ is also slated to be home to a new limited series focused on Loki with Tom Hiddleston expected to reprise his role as the god of mischief.

There’s also a series in the works set to center around Falcon and Winter Soldier which will find actors Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan returning to reprise their respective roles.
