Walt Disney Studios announced the release date for every film in their foreseeable future, revealing their plans for their Fox acquisitions and likely scaring other studios.

Most notably, The Mouse announced that new Star Wars and Avatar movies would take turns being released over Christmas from 2021 through 2027 (and we can’t forget that The Rise of Skywalker will be released Christmas 2019). What those Star Wars projects will be are still a mystery, but the Avatar movies are the long-gestating projects from James Cameron and serve as follow-ups to the original movie released way back in 2009. The schedule looks like this:

Avatar 2 was previously slated for December 2020 (following several other delays), but the Disney acquisition has seemingly pushed all of the Avatar movies back a year or two.

Those Star Wars movies could be the ones in development from the Game of Thrones showrunners, from Rian Johnson, or they could be something else entirely.

Also notable here: Disney’s book-to-film adaptation of Artemis Fowl has been pushed to May 29, 2020. It was previously scheduled to be released this August.
