An interactive app has been released for Percy Jackson fans to find out their godly parent, get new content, and much more!
Fans of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series can rejoice! There is now an app based on Riordan’s world, called Demigods of Olympus, that allows you to explore the Percy Jackson universe for yourself.
According to the author, the app is free for iOS and Android. It is described as “a digital library for your Riordan titles.” The app allows you to purchase eBooks by Riordan and other Disney authors.
Even more exciting is the news that you can access original content and go through the stories as if you were the hero. In fact, when you join up, you’ll be established as a demigod, and as you make your way through the app, you will learn more about yourself and your parentage.
The first story is free and is titled “My Two-Headed Guidance Counselor.” It was written by Riordan and its purpose is to introduce you to the world of the app and present you with choices that will affect your play through the story.
Unfortunately, the app is not completely free. As you move past the first story, you’ll be required to purchase an update for $2.99 which will present you with the next installment, titled “The Library of Deadly Weapons.”
Riordan himself is using the app, though he hasn’t learned much else other than his own name (Clayton Sato). His character’s strengths include being quick-witted, but his weakness is his moody demeanor. They even provide the small detail of the fact that Clayton has a tattoo on the inside of his left wrist!
