Big Shot season 2 is officially on the horizon over at Disney+!

On Thursday (September 2), the streamer revealed that it has officially picked up the feel good sports drama, Big Shot for a season 2.

Created by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey, and Brad Garrett, Big Shot finds Full House vet John Stamos starring as Coach Marvyn Korn— a basketball coach who finds himself outside from the NCAA, but given a rather interesting shot at redemption.

To prove he’s worthy of it, he finds himself taking a position coaching basketball at an elite private school. But playing coach to a group of teenagers isn’t exactly what he thought would be, and it’s not long before Coach Korn discovers that he’ll have to dig deep if he wants to stand a chance of getting through to his new young charges.

In a statement, Stamos, who is already on board to reprise his role as Coach Korn, said that he’s looking forward to continuing to explore his character’s growth in the series’s second season.

“I’m so grateful to continue to play Coach Korn, a man who learns to let go of pre-conceived judgements and learns from an incredible group of women, helping him to evolve and grow. And yet, he still has so much more to learn…thankfully he’ll get that chance in season two,” said Stamos.

In addition, the actor was on hand to spread the word about the season 2 renewal with fans far and wide via social media.

Added series co-creator and executive producer David E. Kelley: “We are thrilled to be returning with Big Shot. The show has touched so many hearts -John Stamos’ brilliance especially as Coach Marvyn Korn- we look forward to season two and beyond.”

Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see Big Shot season 2 debut via Disney+.
