Disney+ has offered up a sneak peek at Marvel’s 616, an upcoming documentary series set to explore the historical, cultural, and societal impacts of the MCU in the real world.

Coming up next on the Marvel front, Disney+ is gearing up to explore the impact the MCU has had on the world in a brand new anthology documentary series coming soon to the online streaming platform.

Now, ahead of the streamer’s Comic-Con@Home panel presentations, Disney+ is giving fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from the unique docuseries ahead of its release.

First up, the streamer shared a clip from the series’ second episode. Helmed by actor and director Gillian Jacobs (Community), the sneak peek features Sana Amant (VP, Marvel Entertainment, Character & Content) and author G. Willow Wilson talking about developing the beloved Ms. Marvel comics.

“I was pretty convinced that they were joking because I said, ‘there’s no way that you ran that past Marvel Comics and they said yes,’” says Wilson in the clip. “How often does that happen?”

The second sneak peek hails from episode 4, which highlights actor and comedian Paul Scheer’s (Black Monday, The League) hunt to discover the “forgotten” characters of Marvel Comics.

The episode 4 teaser finds Scheer learning about some of the more obscure superheroes in question from comic book writers Donny Cates (Cosmic Ghost Rider, Venom), Gerry Duggan (Deadpool), and Reginald Hudlin (Black Panther).

Disney+ has not set a premiere date for Marvel’s 616, but the streaming service is gearing up to present a panel on the docuseries as part of this year’s Comci-Con@Home.

The panel in question is set to take place tomorrow (Thursday, July 23) at 1 p.m. PT, so we would’t be surprised if they’re waiting until then to officially announce a release date.

Check out the details for the panel below!
