The Home Alone reboot coming down the pipeline has added a slew of new cast members to its ranks!

According to Deadline, actors Kenan Thompson, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell have all joined the cast of the upcoming Home Alone reboot at Disney+.

The newly minted cast members join the reboot’s previously announced star, Archie Yates, who most will likely recognize for his scene stealing work in Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit.

It was previously announced that Yates had scored the leading role in the reboot just last year in December; other previously announced cast members set to feature in the Disney+ title include Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Ellie Kemper and Deadpool 2’s Rob Delaney.

Meanwhile, Dirty Grandpa helmer. Dan Mazer is set to serve as the movie’s director. Meanwhile, Thompson’s Saturday Night Live pals and writers Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell will serve as screenwriters on the project.

So what can viewers expect when the Home Alone reboot makes its way onto Disney+? Unfortunately for those who are curious, plot details for the reboot are still scarce.

That being said, the rumor is that the reboot might center on a mischievous youngster (Yates) going up against a couple (Kemper, Delaney) after a figurine gets stolen.

Previously, it’s also been reported that the project isn’t necessarily a remake of the hit 90s family comedy starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McAllister. Instead, the untitled Disney+ title is merely being labelled as a Home Alone reboot due to the similarities in concept.

Either way, with casting for the reboot heating up, we’ll be curious to find out more about what the plot of the movie entails!
