Disney and Pixar have released their schedule for animated movies from 2016 through 2018, but they haven’t unveiled what those movies will be, if they even know themselves. Disney and Pixar will release four movies each in that time. It’s possible they have ideas for what movies will be released when, but it’s also very possible that they are just saving the dates. They know that these movies will obviously be decent moneymakers, and they’ll want to have them at certain times of the year.

Here’s the schedule:

UNTITLED DISNEY ANIMATION now dated on 3/4/16 wide in 3D

UNTITLED PIXAR ANIMATION now dated on 6/17/16 wide in 3D

UNTITLED DISNEY ANIMATION now dated on Wed 11/23/16 wide in 3D

UNTITLED PIXAR ANIMATION now dated on 6/16/17 wide in 3D

UNTITLED PIXAR ANIMATION now dated on Wed 11/22/17 wide in 3D

UNTITLED DISNEY ANIMATION now dated on 3/9/18 wide in 3D

UNTITLED PIXAR ANIMATION now dated on 6/15/18 wide in 3D

UNTITLED DISNEY ANIMATION now dated on Wed 11/21/18 wide in 3D

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that they’ll be releasing them in March, June, and November as those are big moneymaking months, and especially for them. Though nothing is set in stone, it’s been said that Pixar’s untitled film about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) will come out in 2016. Since Pixar only has one 2016 date, it would appear to mean that the film will come out on June 16.

Between now and then, Disney and Pixar animation studios have a full schedule. Monsters University is set to be released on June 21 (Pixar). They only have one other film released this year – Frozen (Disney) which comes out November 27. The Good Dinosaur (Pixar) comes out on May 30, 2014, and Big Hero 6 (Disney) comes out on November 7, 2014. Disney hasn’t announced any films in 2015, but Pixar has. Inside Out is set to be released on June 19, 2015 and Finding Dory, the Finding Nemo sequel is set to come out on November 25, 2015.
