We’ve been on the edge of our seats, waiting for the opening of Disney Parks new Star Wars land, Galaxy’s Edge. Happily, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Disney has released a quick teaser video that gives us opening seasons for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland and Disney World.

The video is brief and ends with an animated, aerial shot of the remote planet Batuu, where all resort adventures will be taking place. So when can you and I officially travel to Batuu? If you want to hit up Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World, you’ll have to wait until late fall 2019, but if you visit Disneyland, the park will open summer 2019.

Why the vague opening dates? Essentially, since we’re still a bit from either park opening, Disney wants to allow for some wiggle room on the actual opening date to ensure the park is finished and ready for Star Wars fans. But by releasing a season-opening date, they can start building hype and allowing prospective park-goers a chance to start looking at their calendars for the best time to make their voyage to Batuu.

As we get closer to the parks’ opening seasons, we can expect Disney to release more specific park opening dates. But for now, it’s time to start saving and dreaming up for a Disney trip in 2019, because we can hardly wait to see the fun Batuu will have to offer!
