The first trailer for Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin is here, and it’s just as magical as you’d expect!

Make way for another Disney live-action adaptation to hit the big screen. Aladdin is gearing up to follow in the footsteps of Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book, and now, fans are getting their first look at the film.

The new teaser offers up a great first look at the Cave of Wonders come to life, from the opening of the cave, to the vast expanse of treasure that’s housed within.

Perhaps the most exciting bit of the teaser comes at the end when we get our first glimpse of Mena Massoud as Aladdin himself just as he’s about to grab hold of the lamp for the first time.

And of course, there’s the medley of iconic songs that run over the course of the short teaser, featuring the likes of “Arabian Nights” and “Friend Like Me.”

The new teaser for the film isn’t the only bit of news Disney fans got this week. Just yesterday, actor Will Smith took to Instagram to share the first poster for the film.

Smith, of course, has been tasked with bringing Al’s iconic pal Genie to life — a role originated in the 1992 animated classic by the late Robin Williams.

The image features the iconic magic lamp our favorite street rat finds housed within the mysterious Cave of Wonders. Just underneath, there’s a tagline that reads, “Choose wisely.”

“LEMME OUT!!,” wrote Smith in the caption. “Can’t wait for y’all to see me BLUE!”

Directed by Guy Ritchie and written by John August, the upcoming film also stars Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Numan Acar, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen.

Disney’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin flies into theaters on May 24, 2019.
