2016 will be a big year for Disney: their schedule includes the highly anticipated Pete’s Dragon, the live-action Jungle Book and more.

Disney has announced several movie release dates and changes to its schedule.

Notably, Jon Favreau’s live-action Jungle Book remake has been pushed back six months from its original premiere date, and will now be released April 15, 2016. The movie stars Neel Sethi as Mowgli, with Idris Elba as the voice of the tiger Shere Khan.

According to Variety, Disney has pushed Craig Gillespie’s The Finest Hours (starring Chris Pine) into Jungle Book‘s former spot, with a new release date of Oct. 9, 2015.

The Pete’s Dragon remake also gets a release date, scheduled for Aug. 12, 2016. The non-musical version of the 1977 classic stars Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley and Oona Laurence.

Finally, DreamWorks’ live-action version of Ghost in the Shell, which stars Scarlett Johansson, has been given a release date of April 14, 2017. All four movies are set to be released in 3D.

There’s a lot to look forward to here! This truly is the era of remakes, and we’re hoping for some great new takes on these classic (and, in some cases, over-exposed) stories.

Note that Warner Bros. also has a Jungle Book story coming out; Andy Serkis’ Jungle Book: Origins will hit cinemas on Oct. 6, 2017.
