Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star Chris Pratt is reportedly being eyed by Disney for their relaunching of the Indiana Jones franchise.

While Disney seems to have their Star Wars franchise on track, it looks like their next move is to focus on getting Indiana Jones back up on the big screen. This means recasting the iconic character, originally played by Harrison Ford.

Deadline reports that Jurassic World star Chris Pratt is being eyed to play Indiana Jones, and while they believe things to be very early, it seems the studio is very interested in Pratt playing the iconic archaeologist. Pratt’s star power is skyrocketing, and this would give him two franchises if Disney were to convince him to join the reboot.

While Deadline acknowledges that it’s a stretch that Pratt could join another film franchise, it’s very possible that Pratt might truly be interested in playing the iconic character. It seems like the perfect fit to us, and while we know Pratt will be busy with Guardians of the Galaxy’s sequel, we hope that he takes a look at playing Jones.

While we normally don’t advise studios to reboot franchises, this is one that we think could do well, considering there are many new stories that could be told. More importantly, Chris Pratt is incredibly enjoyable to watch on the big screen, and he seems like he’d be perfect in the role. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this casting rumor concerning the Indiana Jones reboot, but this will be a hot topic as Pratt joins new films over the next year. What do you think about Chris Pratt playing Indiana Jones?
