The Frozen 2 trailer is here, and Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf are about to embark on a huge journey to save their homes and the world.
At long last, we finally have a look at a full trailer for Frozen 2! After the teaser trailer premiered back in February, we have been dying to know what new threat was descending upon Arendelle. We still don’t know exactly what’s coming, but we do know one thing is for sure: Elsa might be the only thing that can stop it.
In Frozen 2, Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), and Olaf (Josh Gad) must set out on an adventure well beyond the borders of their home in Arendelle to find the answers to what exactly is threatening their kingdom, and why Elsa was born with powers. While the first Frozen had Elsa wondering if her powers were simply too much for the world, in this movie that fear is flipped on its head as she hopes she’s powerful enough to stop this new threat.
The trailer also expands on why exactly the trailer featured Elsa running directly into the ocean. She’s doing it to find and talk with a mythical water spirit named Nokk who uses the power of the ocean to guard the secrets of the forest. We don’t yet know what secrets Nokk will be guarding and how it will help Elsa and the gang as they head north into the unknown, but if this trailer is any indication, it’s going to be an amazing adventure.
Yesterday, Disney released the poster for the movie, and it’s got a moody energy that has us incredibly excited to see how this story and these beloved characters have grown and evolved since the first film. Disney has also released a few first-look images for Frozen 2 as well. They don’t give us a lot of info, but they let us know that this movie, like the first, will be absolutely visually stunning.
What secrets will Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf uncover on their journey? What about the past isn’t quite as it seems? We’ll have to wait to find the answers to these questions when Frozen 2 premieres in theaters on November 22.
