The first trailer for Pixar’s Dug Days series is here, and it teases all new adventures with some of your favorite characters from Up!

Everyone’s favorite canine, Dug, is gearing up to star in his very own series over at Disney+ and now, fans of the beloved Up pup can get a taste for what’s in store on Dug Days.

The first trailer for the forthcoming Pixar animated series made its way onto the internet on Thursday (August 26)— just in time for International Dog Day.

In it, we catch back up with the titular character, whose high tech collar translates his thoughts into speech.

Up vet Bob Peterson is back on board to lend his voice to the beloved character for the series, which he wrote and directed.

The series plays to the idea that this is the character’s first time out of Paradise Falls.

“Everything is new, and he’s excited about all of it,” explained Peterson. “But the smallest things can distract Dug, never mind an actual squirrel.”

Speaking to why so many Disney and Pixar fans have found themselves falling in love with the character, Peterson added: “Dug is pure of heart— he’s a good soul. I think people enjoy that part of Dug. Plus, people love their dogs. We’ve gone to great lengths to include truth in dog behavior, so they see their own dogs in Dug.”

Comprised of five shorts in total, all episodes of Dug Days are set to debut via Disney+ on September 1.
